For our christmas meeting today all the drivers received a 2011 calendar with a photo of the pony they drive and a cadbury stocking.

Reggie Ledgie and Jodie Billinger winning and being presented medal by Jacinta Gilbert 

All ponies stepped away nicely with Reggie Ledgie leading from Wynkie Sweet Fairytales, Lapanacaton, Little Paleface, Mr Mischief and the back marker Aussie.

Heading into the front straight Reggie Ledgie still had a very handy lead over Little Paleface and Mr Mischief was circling the field to be running third. Half way down the running Reggie Ledgie was still out in front and went on to be an easy winning. The final placing were first Reggie Leggie with Jodie Billinger in the sulky this week from Little Paleface Emma Johnson and the always fast finishing Mr Mischief with young Bailey Hoare.

The next race was a small field of five shetlands going around. When the start said go all ponies trotted away with PJ being the early leader from Razzle Dazzle, Swamp Fire, Eddy’s A Fake and Ben Ten.

 

Coming half way down the straight PJ was 20 metre out in front with Ben Ten closing in on the leader with giant strides, with 30 metre to go it was a two pony race between Ben Ten and PJ, with Jason Kittel and Ben Ten getting up in the last stride. The final placings were Ben Ten with Jason Kittel in sulky which made it two win in a row, from PJ and Bryce Gilbert second and third was Razzle Dazzle and Jacinta Gilbert.

All ponies step away nicely with the exception of Wandarra Tess who stood flat footed at the start. The early leader was Our Sir Patchalot from Its All About Me, Pee Wee 50, Lets Tango, Chickabarquar, Crackerjack and Wandarra Tess.

 

Half way around the bend Our Sir Patchalot still had a handy lead from Its All About Me, Lets Tango and Crackerjack started his run three wide from back in the field. With about 50 metres to go Its All About Me hit the front with Crackerjack steaming down outside with one last bound to be in a photo finish. The judges couldn’t separate them, it was declared a dead-heat between Its All About Me and Crackerjack, finishing third was Our Sir Patchalot.

Little Kizz and Christie Gilbert winning and being presented medal by Julie and Bryce Gilbert 

Ooh La Laar was the early leader being off the front mark from Born To Be Wild, Summer Surprise, Little Kizz, Magpie Mary, Chilli Knights, Westbury Bogart and followed by Mr Murphy.

Coming down the straight Ooh La Laar had a massive lead over Little Kizz with Chilli Knight making her run down the outside. Halfway down the running Little Kizz peeled off from the inside to race up and take the lead from Ooh La Laar and with Chilli Knights closing in fast. The final placings were Little Kizz and Christie Gilbert who ironically won her own race the "Christie Gilbert ChristmasTrot", second was Chilli Knights and Chantelle Rendall and third was Ooh La Laar with Emma Johnson.
