The first race of the night was the shetland class with a field of four in it. All ponies step away nicely with Midnight Star being the early leader off the front mark from Its All About Me, Crackerjack and the backmarker Wandarra Tess. Just as Its All About Me took over the lead from Midnight Star, Crackerjack raced up on the outside of him to take the lead and never looked back. The final placings were Crackerjack the winner, second was Wandarra Tess who made a lot of ground to only be beaten by 6 metres and not far away in third place was Its All About Me.

When the starter said go Born To be Wild let a few pigroots go before he got down and trotting. Coming around the bend Westbury Bogart was out in front from Cowboy Road, Chilli Knights, Little Kizz, Summer Surprise, Aadelaidee Lady and Born To Be Wild. Into the straight Cowboy Road raced up on the outside of Westbury Bogart took the lead and went on to be an easy winner from Chilli Knights and Summer Surprise.

The next race had a bit of action in it with Swamp Fire be driven by Nicolas Brown decided that he didn’t was to go slow tonight and took off in a mad gallop down the straight, young Nicholas held on for the ride and didn’t panic. A big thank-you goes out to Keith Preston for jumping the fence and stopping Swamp Fire.

 

Before all the action happened, the seven ponies in the race all stepped away with PJ the early being off the front mark from Two Tone Miss, Eddy’s A Fake, Swamp Fire, Pee Wee 50, Razzle Dazzle and Ben Ten. PJ lead all the way till 4 metres before the line where Eddy’s A Fake caught him. The final placings were Eddy’s A Fake being the winner making this a double for Jodie Billinger, second was PJ and third was Two Tone Miss.

RACE  4 – ARTTY FULLER TROT

Last race of the night was the medium to fast open class with a field of seven taking to the track. When the flag went down all ponies trotted away with Reggie Ledgie out in front from Aussie, Way To Go, Mr Mischief, Wynkie Sweet Fairytales, Petti Cheval and Lapanacaton. Half way down the straight Mr Mischief took the lead off of Reggie Ledgie and went on to score by 2 metres from fast finishing Wynkie Sweet Fairytales and not far away in third was Way To Go.
