Aadelaidee Lady winning

Aadelaidee Lady presentation

In the morning the weather was touching go whether there would be any pony races tonight but at 3.00 pm when the decision was made to race the sky was blue and apart from a bit breezy there was no rain in sight.  But as murphy's law goes it started to drizzle as the first race went onto the track.

Reggie Ledgie was giving the field a 50 metre head start tonight and under vigorous driving by Cameron Jacques it wasn't enough to get him out of a walk until the field had caught up.  Once Aadelaidee Lady had taken over Reggie Ledgie decided he would join in and sat behind Aadelaidee Lady who has been racing very consistent this season.  Aadelaidee Lady kicked clear in the straight to win easy for a very elated Madison Smith ahead of Reggie Ledgie and a gap back to Born To Be Wild who didn't appreciate the weather tonight.

Mr Murphy winning

Mr Murphy presentation

Once again there was no rain between races but as soon as the ponies hit the track it started to drizzle again.  Mr Murphy jumped away from the start exceptionally well and was well clear, approaching the 200m mark Way To Go had made up good ground and it looked like it might be a close finish but Mr Murphy held on to make it back to back wins for Corey Johnson.  Wynkie Sweet Fairytales was definitely not on her best behaviour tonight and pig-routed on and off for the entire race, however, Chantelle Rendall persisted in driving Fairy out to take out third placing.

The shetlands coming to the line

Oungachucka presentation

The rain didn't let us down, this time it was very heavy.  Swamp Fire started off the front mark and tried to lead all the way with Oungachucka and Midnight Star chasing him down.  Turning for home Oungachucka went to the front and went on to win ahead of Midnight Star and Till We Meet Again sneaking along the rails.

Little Paleface in straight

Little Paleface presentation

What a surprise it was drizzling again.  All the ponies raced in indian file for a good 200m with Lapanacaton trotting well out in front for the newcomer Nicholas Brown, Chilli Knights, Little Paleface and Petti Cheval were all sitting on his tail.  Turning for home Little Paleface pulled out wide and went to the front ahead of Lapanacaton and as always Brodie Webster always looking for a short cut used the sprint lane to take out 3rd placing on Chilli Knights.
