The front marker Reggie Ledgie who started off the 520m mark maintained a big lead till the top of the home straight when Spirit looked like she was going to go straight past him with Aadelaidee Lady not too far away, close behind was Born To Be Wild on the rails and a gap back to Westbury Bogart and Magpie Mary.

Half way down the home straight Aadelaidee Lady went for home as Reggie Ledgie kicked back on the rails.  Way To Go was pulling wide with Spirit in the centre but it was the very consistent Aadelaidee Lady’s night as she made it back to back wins and scored by 4 metres ahead of the fast finishing Born To Be Wild and the well-behaved Reggie Ledgie finishing third.

Coming off the back straight the leader was Little Kizz closely followed by Way To Go who was ready to pounce ahead of Summer Surprise, Mr Mischief and Mr Murphy  with not much separating the field and all trotting well.

As the home corner approached Way To Go challenged Little Kizz for the lead and half way down the straight kicked clear to win easily from Summer Surprise who after being disqualified last week for excessive galloping trotted faultlessly tonight and a close finish for third between Little Kizz, Mr Murphy and Mr Mischief.

After there was a false start the ponies all trotted away well the second time.

Turning for home the order hadn’t changed for the front markers with PJ still in front ahead of Eddy’s A Fake and a gap back to Swamp Fire, Midnight Star, Crackerjack, Ben Ten and My Little Pony.  Tonight it was the newcomer Jason Kittel who had to endure a naughty pony as Ben Ten gave a really big pig route.

Eddy’s A Fake hit the lead with 50 metres to go but the fast finishing Crackerjack took over and went on to win ahead of Eddy’s A Fake and Midnight Star.

In the final event we had a couple of Mount Gambier pony’s race.

Coming off the back straight Petti Cheval was in the lead ahead of Lapanacaton and Monkey Business with a gap back to Chilli Knights.  It was always going to be a close finish with Lapanacaton and Petti Cheval going stride for stride but out of nowhere the Mount Gambier visitor Pumpkin who started off the 690 metre mark had gained momentum and sprinted fast to take victory right on the line to win by a neck ahead of Lapanacaton and Petti Cheval.
