So What

Jennifer Lehmann

The first race of the night had a field of eight ponies taking part. When the starter said go all ponies stepped away perfectly. With Ooh La Laar being out in front for first season driver Branden Fuller, following close behind was Born To Be Wild, Aadelaidee Lady, Little Kizz, the former Mildura pony Chocolate Thunder, Cowboy Road with Shania-Jai Lines-Lee in the sulky having her first race drive, Summer Surprise and the back marker Chilli Knights.

Ooh La Laar was leading until the 400 metre mark when she started to put in a few naughty steps and half the field got caught up in the traffic, this gave Aadelaidee Lady the opportunity to take over the lead and race away to win by about 25 metres from Chilli Knights 2nd and not far away in 3rd was Chocolate Thunder.

Heading into the straight Mr Mysterious was still out in front and was making ever post a winner; Pee Wee 50 ran into second placing and was out chasing this leader. Half way up the straight something caught the eye of Mr Mysterious and he ran up the track but Bailey did a good job balancing his pony to pull away to win by three metres from Jessiefoss who was relegated due to galloping.

The final placings were Mr Mysterious 1st, Pee Wee 50 2nd and Swamp Fire 3rd

Way To Go

Jennifer Lehmann

The last race of the night saw five ponies take to the track. All ponies stepped away nicely with Reggie Ledgie out in front from Aussie, Lapanacaton, Mr Mischief and Wynkie Sweet Fairytales.

Reggie Ledgie was out in front rounding the bend but was quickly claimed on the outside by Mr Mischief with Wynkie Sweet Fairytales finishing hard and fast down the outside to make a close but Mr Mischief just held on by a nose from Wynkie Sweet Fairytales and the veteran pony of the field in Lapanacaton was 3rd.

This gave Bailey Hoare a winning double for the night. Well done Bailey!!
