All ponies trotted away well in the first race for the night with the front marker Reggie Ledgie leading for most of the race and looking like taking victory.  Half way down the home straight Reggie Ledgie who was making every post a winner had Spirit and Aadelaidee Lady making ground fast and looking the dangers.  As the post arrived the three all crossed the line together in a very tight finish with the outside Spirit and Matthew Basto winning from Aadelaidee Lady driven by Madison Smith who was dashing through in the centre and Reggie Ledgie the early leader driven by Cameron Jacques holding on for third placing.  This was Spirit's first win for the season.

Only a four pony field in the second race tonight, Little Kizz who was the only pony on the front mark trotted away nicely and held the lead until the backmarkers caught her at Norman’s Gate.  As the field bunched up around Little Kizz, Mr Mischief driven by Matthew Williams took over and trotted very well to the line to win ahead of Way To Go and Kathryn Lehmann for second.

Unfortunately, Mr Murphy was not on his best behaviour again tonight for Corey Johnson and continued to gallop throughout the race and was therefore disqualified.  Little Kizz who was driven by Christie Gilbert and finished 4th in the event was awarded third placing.

Each week little PJ is out in front and as the line approaches he gets swamped but not tonight, his little legs were going a hundred miles an hour and a very cool Bryce Gilbert wasn’t fazed as the fast finishing Crackerjack was looming up on his outside.  Bryce didn’t move a muscle in the sulky as PJ held on by a ‘PJ head’ from Crackerjack driven by Matthew Williams and My Little Pony driven by Jennifer Lehmann finishing third.

The final race for the ponies tonight was a test for the commentator as 4 of the 5 ponies were almost white.

Petti Cheval who started on the front mark stepped away well from Lapanacton and Monkey Business.  Lapanacaton pulled wide down the back to make a run as Petti Cheval took fright and went for a little side step.  It was the 3 greys around the corner with Petti Cheval in front, Monkey Business in the centre and Lapanacaton three wide with a gap back to Little Paleface and Cheeky Charlie.

Coming down the home straight Petti Cheval driven by Kathryn Lehmann kicked clear to receive the pony's first win for the season ahead of the fast finishing Cheeky Charlie who came off the back mark to grab Monkey Business on the line by a head with a length back to Lapanacaton in fourth place and close up Little Paleface.
