The first pony event of the night was the Shetland class with a field of six ponies going around.

When the starter said go PJ for Bryce Gilbert was the early leader and he never looked back, running second was Razzle Dazzle followed by Pee Wee 50.

Halfway down the straight PJ still had a big lead over Ben Ten and Chickabarquar. With about 40 metres to go PJ was still in front of the fast finishing and backmarker Ben Ten.

The winner was PJ, second Ben Ten with Jason Kittel and the third was Chickabarquar and Emma Johnson.

Bryce kicked a big night off for the Gilbert family.

With a field of nine ponies in this race. Not long after the start Mr Murphy with Corey Johnson in sulky decided to let rip a few bucks before getting down and trotting.

Ooh La Laar for Emma Johnson trotted away nicely and was the early leader followed by Born To Be Wild and Cowboy Road. When they got to the 400 metre mark Cowboy Road took over the lead from Ooh La Laar with Little Kizz running on.

Turning into the front straight Cowboy Road was leading with Little Kizz was getting closer with every stride. Halfway down the running Little Kizz just hit the front but Cowboy Road was kicking back on the inside. Going down to the line it was Little Kizz with Christie Gilbert holding off Cowboy Road with Jodie Billinger, third was Mr Mischief and Bailey Hoare who was finishing strongly down the outside.

The third race of the night was another Shetland class trot. With a small field of only five ponies in it.

When the starter said go Midnight Star step away nicely, Lets Tango was running second and Harley Davidson running third. With 350 to go Lets Tango raced up on the outside of Midnight Start and took over the lead. On the run home to the finishing line Lets Tango was still out in front with Wandarra Tess running into second on the inside, halfway down the straight it was a two pony race with Lets Tango on the outside and the back marker on the inside. Drawing close to the finishing line Wandarra Tess just took the lead for Jacinta Gilbert, Lets Tango with Corey Johnson finishing second and Harley Davidson finishing third for Shannon Platts.

 Looks like the night belonged to the Gilbert family taking out the first three races.

The final race of the night had seven runners in it. When the flag went down Reggie Ledgie with Cameron Jacques in the bike stepped away nicely from Wynkie Sweet Fairytales and Petti Cheval. Heading into the front straight Reggie Ledgie was still out in front and Wynkie Sweet Fairytales started her late run half way down the straight. With about 50 to go Wynkie Sweet Fairytales drew level with Reggie Ledgie and hit the lead.

Wynkie Sweet Fairytales with Chantelle Rendall went on to be a comfortable winner from Reggie Ledgie running second with Cameron Jacques, third was a battle between the two sisters with Jennifer Lehmann on Petti Cheval on the inside and Kathryn Lehmann driving Way To Go on outside. Jennifer and Petti Cheval got third in a tight finish.
