With a small field of four going around, saw the return of Midnight Star for Sharni Newman from a setback. When the starter said go all ponies trotted away nicely with Midnight Star the early leader but Its All About Me took over within the first ten metres, followed by Crackerjack and the backmarker Wandarra Tess. This order of racing didn’t change until the home straight where Wandarra Tess made her run half down the straight and went on the be an easy winner from Crackerjack and Its All About Me running third.

The next race with a field of seven ponies. All ponies stepped away safely with Born To Be Wild being the early leader from Aadelaidee Lady. Little Kizz, Cowboy Road, Summer Surprise and Chilli Knights. Heading into the home straight Born To Be Wild was still out in front from Summer Surprise who was closing in quickly, half way down the running Summer Surprise took over the lead from born To Be Wild and went on to win by 10 metres with Born to Be Wild finishing second and Aadelaidee Lady running third.

The next race had a field of six Shetlands going around. PJ was the leader from Razzle Dazzle, Swamp Fire, Eddy’s A Fake, Pee Wee 50 and the backmarker Ben Ten was seeing the field in front of him. Towards the home turn Razzle Dazzle raced up on the outside of PJ and took over the lead. In the straight Razzle Dazzle was out in front and making every post a winner, Swamp Fire was closing in with Ben Ten always finishing fast down the outside. Razzle Dazzle went on to win by 10 metres from Ben Ten and Swamp Fire running third.

The final race of the night was the medium to fast class. Reggie Ledgie was the early leader being off the front mark, followed by Wynkie Sweet Fairytales, Aussie, Petti Cheval, Way To Go, Mr Mischief and Lapanacaton. This order didn’t change until the home turn where Wynkie Sweet Fairytales took the lead over from Reggie Ledgie. Halfway down the running Wynkie Sweet Fairytales was trotting nicely and went on to win by 8 metres from Lapanacaton who put in the big strides being of the back mark and Petti Cheval finished a close third.
