In the first race tonight Pee Wee 50 started off the front mark for Lachlan Ramsay with Swamp Fire (Nicholas Brown) trotting along in second position. Swamp Fire had a little pigroute at the back gate which seems to be the place for most ponies to misbehave. Midnight Star who was fast away from his mark overtook Eddy’s A Fake at the 300 metre mark which was a bit of a shock to some as Midnight Star generally prefers to trot along next to Eddy without overtaking him.
Turning for home it was Pee Wee 50 out in front being driven very confidently by Lachlan Ramsay with Midnight Star being his only danger, with Midnight Star closing in, Lachlan said it was time to go on Pee Wee 50 and went on to win giving him his first ever winner. Midnight Star (Sharni Newman) finished second ahead of the fast finishing Crackerjack (Kaycee Carey) who came off the back mark.

A field of four lined up for the second race with all ponies trotting away really well. Turning for home Born To Be Wild (Cameron Jacques) had a 10 metre lead ahead of Cowboy Road (Jodie Billinger) , Chilli Knights (Chantelle Rendall) and Aadelaidee Lady (Madison Smith). With an excellent finish looming Aadelaidee Lady racing down the outside sprouted wings in the final 50 metres to grab Chilli Knights on the line by ½ length from Born To Be Wild a length away third. Cowboy Road mixed his gait close to the line and finished in fourth position.

In the final event for the night most ponies trotted away from the mark well with Reggie Ledgie out the front trying to lead all the way. At the 400 metre mark Reggie Ledgie (Cameron Jacques) had a 50 metre lead over Aussie (Jason Kittel), Way To Go (Kathryn Lehmann) sneaking through along the rails, Mr Mischief (Bailey Hoare) and Lapanacaton (Nicholas Brown) but tonight was Way To Go’s night as he dashed away at the top of the straight to win easily ahead of Lapanacaton and Mr Mischief.
