Shortly after the start Whataday led from Spirit. Kaycee Carey quickly drove Magpie Mary through along the marker pegs into second place. Little Kizz being driven by Christie Gilbert was also going forward with Born To Be Wild, and then came Petti Cheval who had moved past Aadelaidee Lady.
As they straightened for the run home, the winner looked like coming from Magpie Mary, Little Kizz and Born To Be Wild, but then Kathryn Lehmann put Petti Cheval into the picture coming from the back of the field to go on and win impressively.

Summer Surprise just led from Mr Murphy and Way To Go early. They were followed by Westbury Bogart, Lapanacaton, Monkey Business and Little Paleface.
Mr Murphy found the front for Corey Johnson. Corey’s sister Emma, who was driving Little Paleface looked a danger, but it was the in-form Monkey Business and driver Chantelle Dodd who proved too good in the run to the line.

Note: Licensed Drivers and Learner Drivers must wear appropriate attire when in the parade ring as well as on the track, and a helmet must be worn by any person driving a horse in the complex.
Also, whist driver safety is of the utmost importance, children are reminded that the image of the sport is on show to the public when out on the track, and a driver must do no more than that which is absolutely necessary to control their pony. It is better to retire your pony from the race and work on its manners during the week, than continue on under difficulties.
