It was a lovely warm night as the small field of shetlands lined up in the first event after the withdrawal of Midnight Star earlier in the week. At the start Its All About Me had a little rear just before the starter said ‘go’ but stepped away nicely.
The backmarkers were closing in on Its All About Me as the line approached but the field couldn’t quite catch him as he went on to win making it 4 wins in a row, a length away in second position was Crackerjack and Kaycee Carey who was closing the gap quickly and Wandarra Tess and Jacinta Gilbert who was slow to step away finished 10 metres away in third placing.

In the second event of the night Cowboy Road stepped away very fast and took over the lead from Born To Be Wild early in the race.
Approaching the home turn Cowboy Road had a 10 metre lead from Born To Be Wild with Summer Surprise coming into the race quickly and looking like making it 4 wins in a row. Chilli Knights was further back in the field but sprouted wings at the 100 metre mark and moved up very quickly to Cowboy Road and Jodie Billinger but the line was to soon and Cowboy Road hung on to win by half a length from Chilli Knights second with a length back to the in-form Summer Surprise and Cheyenne Moritz for third placing.
Tonights pony races were sponsored by Shannon Platt’s dad Scott Forby and aunty Gayle Forby which was in memory of her grandmother.

All shetlands stepped away reasonably well in the third event. A confident piece of driving witnessed Nicholas Brown on Swamp Fire forcing a passage at the 400 metre mark between Razzle Dazzle and Pee Wee 50 to place himself into third placing. On the home turn there was a line of 4 ponies PJ, Two Tone Miss, Swamp Fire and Pee Wee 50 with 10 metres back to Razzle Dazzle, Eddy’s A Fake and Ben Ten about to make his fast finishing run after having a little pigroute at the back gate.
Ben Ten with Jason Kittel aboard is becoming quite the consistent pony dashing away to win by 20 metres from Pee Wee 50 and Lachlan Ramsay. Two Tone Miss and Jayden Brewin finished in third position.
Tonights pony races were sponsored by Lachlan Ramsay’s mum Gayle Forby and his uncle Scott Forby which was in memory of his grandmother.

In the final event for the night there were a couple of ponies not on their best behaviour as the remainder of the field all trotted faultlessly.
At the back gate the front marker Reggie Ledgie was about to be overtaken by Lapanacaton who was moving up very quickly, Petti Cheval was back on the rails getting a lovely run through.
They crossed the line Lapanacaton and Nicholas Brown first, Way To Go and Kathryn Lehmann second and stablemate Petti Cheval and Jennifer Lehmann in third placing. Aussie crossed the line in 4th placing but galloped the entire race so was relegated to last position.
