Reggie Ledgie led clear of Spirit who began quickly from Born To Be Wild, Aadelaidee Lady and a break to Westbury Bogart, with a further margin away to Magpie Mary.

With 200 metres to go, Aadelaidee Lady made a sweeping move around the outside to quickly take the front. Reggie Ledgie was starting to struggle, and Born To Be Wild was taken to the outside of Spirit after having been crossed too sharply by that pony. Westbury Bogart and Magpie Mary were also starting to make ground, however Aadelaidee Lady and Madison Smith cleared out for a comfortable victory over Born To Be Wild and Jennifer Lehmann, with Westbury Bogart being driven by Jacinta Gilbert running on well for third just ahead of Spirit. Following those home were Reggie Ledgie and Magpie Mary.

Summer Surprise led, but was galloping. Little Kizz was to its inside and Mr Murphy the outside, then came Mr Mischief with a long way off to Way To Go who didn’t get away with them.

Summer Surprise continued to gallop in the lead as Mr Murphy challenged, and they drew clear of Mr Mischief who was getting past Little Kizz.

Half way up the straight Corey Johnson said go, and he and Mr Murphy went on to win well from Mr Mischief driven by Matthew Williams. Summer Surprise was third over the line, but was disqualified for excessive galloping, with Little Kizz and Christie Gilbert promoted to third, while Way To Go was retired from the event.

All seven ponies trotted away well from their marks. PJ led from Eddy’s A Fake, Swamp Fire, My Little Pony, Crackerjack, Till We Meet Again and the backmarker Wandarra Tess.

There was no change to the order until they straightened for the run home, when My Little Pony started to pass those ahead of him one by one, and appeared to be the main danger to the leader.

Jennifer Lehmann kept My Little Pony going strongly to line and gave the others no chance. Samantha Pascoe had Wandarra Tess trotting very quickly in the run home to grab second from Eddy’s A Fake and Jodie Billinger, who would have finished much closer if not for galloping.

They were followed closely by Crackerjack, Till We Meet Again, Swamp Fire and a tiring PJ.

Petti Cheval began quickly to lead from Monkey Business and Lapanacaton. There was a gap away to Chilli Knights, Little Paleface and big margin off to Cheeky Charlie, who was coming off a massive handicap.

As they headed towards the turn off the back, Monkey Business took the front from Petti Cheval as that pony went for a little skip, with Lapanacaton going into a gallop, allowing Chilli Knights to move through on the inside into third. There was still a gap to Little Paleface, with Cheeky Charlie too far back to win.

Monkey Business driven by Chantelle Dodd established a winning break and showed no signs of stopping. They went on to win comfortably from Petti Cheval and Kathryn Lehmann, who did well to hold off Chilli Knights and Brodie Webster for second place. Lapanacaton followed, ahead of Little Paleface and Cheeky Charlie, who was putting in the big strides in the run home.
