The first race today was for the Open Class.

As the starter said 'go', Aadelaidee Lady swung sideways and got her front leg over the outside running around so she was retired from the event.

At the top of the straight Monkey Business went to the lead after coming off the 620m mark, not far behind was Lapanacaton on the outside of Mr Murphy , followed by Little Paleface on outside Petti Cheval with Cheeky Charlie about to pull wide.

Monkey Business cruised to the line an easy winner ahead of the fast finishing Cheeky Charlie and Lapanacaton third.  Due to only 25 minutes between races, rosettes were given back in the stables.

Race 4 was a Mixed Class of both our Shetlands and bigger, faster ponies.  Ben Ten who started off the front mark of 400m led the field into the home straight ahead of Midnight Star and Whataday but the two backmarkers Monkey Business and Little Paleface were making up ground fast.  Monkey Business on the outside won ahead of Whataday finishing in the middle and Little Paleface third on the rails.  Monkey Business had an exceptional day after he won both races.
