Race 1 saw Jackim back in the fields with Jacob Opperman after a meeting off. This proved to be a good move by trainer, Jacob Opperman, storming to the field leaving Minty (Jessica Shepherd) at the tail of the field. Jacob Opperman drove Jackim down the home straight stride by stride making ground on Buddy Boom Boom and Evie Sealey. Jackim and Jacob Opperman were over the line for first placing, with Buddy Boom Boom (Evie Sealey) close behind, Blaze and Amber Formosa received 3rd placing ahead of Marmalade (Bryce Bygate), Minty (Jessica Shepherd), Slim Dusty and Keeley Formosa and last over the line was Jerry (Nicola Bowditch).
Race 2: All ponies and driver combinations were set and ready for the Millicent Cup marathon race. This was a tough race with ponies spread from to 590 metre mark all the way to 820 metres. Ponies jumped of their marks well with Blaze and Courtney Sealey making their move on the rest of the field. It wasn’t until the back straight when Jackim flew to the group which were approaching the home straight at high speed. Buddy Boom Boom proved to be in good form taking the lead by just a few lengths. Evie Sealey got over the line first ahead of Jackim, Blaze (Amber Formosa), Marmalade (Bryce Bygate), Slim Dusty (Amity Formosa), Minty (Jessica Shepherd) and Jerry (Nicola Bowditch) couldn’t make the placings this race.
