It was a lovely warm night at Port Pirie with 6 ponies and drivers attending.
In the first race most ponies finished in the order they were handicapped and witnessed the cute palamino pony Eddy's A Fake win who was off the front mark. Born To Be Wild and Cameron Jacques finished 2nd ahead of Chilli Knights and Chantelle Rendall. The win gave Eddy's A Fake trained by Acacia Hryhorec and driven by Jodie Billinger their first win for the season.
Scott Forby took control of the handicapping for the final event which witnessed 4 ponies crossing the line together in a blanket finish. The combination of Born To Be Wild and Cameron Jacques received their first win for the season ahead of the backmarker Lapanacaton for Nicholas Brown and stablemate of Born To Be Wild, Reggie Ledgie driven by Shannon Platts finishing third.
A lovely horse head trophy donated by Port Pirie HRC was given to the top three point scorers of the two races, there was a tie for 3rd placing with the results as follows:
1st Born To Be Wild - Cameron Jacques
2nd Eddy's A Fake - Jodie Billinger
3rd Reggie Ledgie - Shannon Platts
3rd Lapanacaton - Nicholas Brown
Once again we would like to thank the Port Pirie Harness Racing Club for inviting the ponies to race at their meeting and for their kind support and Rehn Nagel who is becoming familiar with all the ponies and drivers calling the races at a high standard.
All ponies received a certificate and a petrol voucher courtesy of Port Pirie Harness Racing Club.

After all that running, time for food
