HEAT 1

1^st - Mr Mischief - Matthew Williams (Cone 4)

Eq.2^nd - Magpie Mary - Kaycee Carey (Cone 2)

Eq.2^nd - My Little Pony - Jennifer Lehmann (Cone 1)

4^th - Crackerjack - Jacob Starick (Cone 2)

5^th - Till We Meet Again - Shannon Platts (Cone 3)

6^th - Wandarra Tess - Matthew Basto (Cone 3)

7^th - Born To Be Wild - Hayley Lehmann (Cone 2)

All drivers got their ponies away well with My Little Pony out in front.  Magpie Mary made good ground on the leader soon after the start, as too did Till We Meet Again, quickly tacking onto the group ahead.  Down the back, and while My Little Pony maintained a healthy lead, the remainder of the field were in a bunch.  This included the backmarker Mr Mischief, whose driver Matthew Williams went searching for inside runs.  My Little Pony led for home, but it was Mr Mischief and Matthew Williams in the best drive of the Show, who had saved an enormous amount of ground and forged clear into the straight to win.  The judge had trouble separating the fast finishing Magpie Mary driven by Kaycee Carey and My Little Pony with Jennifer Lehmann.  Crackerjack almost made it a three-way photo for second, with Till We Meet Again, Wandarra Tess and Born To Be Wild all close behind.

3^rd - Till We Meet Again - Shannon Platts (Cone 3)

4^th - Wandarra Tess - Matthew Basto (Cone 5)

5^th - Magpie Mary - Kaycee Carey (Cone 3)

6^th - Crackerjack - Jacob Starick (Cone 4)

7^th - Mr Mischief - Matthew Williams (Cone 6)

The ponies in the second event were strung out, with a long way between first and last.  It wasn’t until the home straight that the leader My Little Pony looked like it may be challenged, as Born To Be Wild and Till We Meet Again sprouted wings.  Till We Meet Again galloped as Born To Be Wild and Hayley Lehmann grabbed My Little Pony driven by her sister Jennifer right on the line to share the prize.  Till We Meet Again and Shannon Platts were a close third and then there was a long gap to Wandarra Tess, Magpie Mary, Crackerjack and Mr Mischief broke gear and finished last.

My Little Pony led clearly, but by the turn off the back Till We Meet Again had taken over, with a space to Wandarra Tess trotting well out after the pair and a widening margin to the remainder of the field.  Into the straight and as soon as Till We Meet Again showed signs of mixing its gait, Shannon Platts showed great poise, grabbing hold and nursing Till We Meet Again to the line a clear winner ahead of Matthew Basto and Wandarra Tess whose run had ended.  My Little Pony driven by Jennifer Lehmann held on well for third ahead of Jacob Starick and Crackerjack who was running on, clear of Born To Be Wild and Magpie Mary.
